The Boys Do Karate

Here are the boys during/after their first belt test (March 2005). Each boy passed his test, and will advance from white to gold. The patches (bottom frame) are for completing worksheets on time.
The boy gets tested before advancing to the next level.

The boys pose, wearing their new orange belts (July 2005).

Here are the boys just before graduation (Sept 2005). Each boy will advance to the next color. The "tiny tiger" (above) will get a purple tiger belt. The older boy will go from orange to purple.
The "green belt" demostrates an application on his instructor, who weighs nearly four times more than he does (July 2006).

This "orange belt" is proud to pass another stripe test in July 2006. The test includes exercises, demonstrating techniques, and some basic applications.

The boy on the right does a high block (Feb 2007).
